  • I wish that I could believe everything he says.
  • I wish that I could communicate better, so that he would understand.
  • I wish that he could understand just where I’m coming from.
  • I wish that we could just relax enough to really enjoy each other.
  • I wish that God would show me the way, without ANY doubt.
  • I wish that we had taken things slow the first time.
  • I wish that he understood my family’s concern.
  • I wish that we COULD live together and not fear the results.
  • I wish that we could work things out to someday say “I do”!
  • I wish that we could grow old together in peace and never be alone.

Keep The Window Clean

Posted by: azladi5 on: September 5, 2007

This was posted on gurushabad:

“An old man who lived all alone in his house complained to the neighbour woman that his eye sight had grown weak and that as he looked out from his window he could not see the beauty of the outside world .
The woman found that the window panes were covered with dust and dirt. She cleansed them with soap and water. The old man was delighted that he could see as clearly as ever
.
“It was not your eyesight had grown dim,” the woman said to him.”You allowed your windows to get dirty.”
May we never allow the windows of our soul to get dirty and we shall never lose sight of God….”

Do you agree?

My response?

This unfortunately happens in our lives everyday! Sometimes we get so busy with life in general and our own personal problems that we lose sight of God in everything we do! We must struggle to keep him in our thoughts daily through going to church, reading the bible and “praying without ceasing”, among other things! We MUST take the time in our daily lives that no matter what, we keep our ears, eyes, hearts and souls upon the Lord! That’s my opinion!

Choose and Explain…

 1. Shower or Bath

Shower, because I don’t feel as clean with a bath, but a tub of bubbles is great to relax!

2. Comedy or Drama

I prefer comedy’s, because as you know, “Laughter is the best medicine!”

3. Coffee or Tea

Coffee of course!

4. Fiction or non-fiction

I like non-fiction the most. I like to read about real life situations.

5. Television or Movies

There’s nothing like a good movie to make you drift away from the daily stresses of life.

Labor DayHere are some quotes for Labor Day weekend:

Heaven is blessed with perfect rest but the blessing of earth is toil.  ~Henry van DykeGod sells us all things at the price of labor.  ~Leonardo da Vinci

The man who doesn’t relax and hoot a few hoots voluntarily, now and then, is in great danger of hooting hoots and standing on his head for the edification of the pathologist and trained nurse, a little later on.  ~Elbert Hubbard

Work isn’t to make money; you work to justify life.  ~Marc Chagall

    Without labor nothing prospers.  ~Sophocles

Labor was the first price, the original purchase-money that was paid for all things.  It was not by gold or by silver, but by labor, that all wealth of the world was originally purchased.  ~Adam Smith

Take rest; a field that has rested gives a bountiful crop.  ~Ovid

Man is so made that he can only find relaxation from one kind of labor by taking up another.  ~Anatole France, The Crime of Sylvestre Bonnard

God give me work, till my life shall end
And life, till my work is done.
    ~Epitaph of Winifred Holtby

Sometimes it’s important to work for that pot of gold.  But other times it’s essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow.  ~Douglas Pagels, These Are the Gifts I’d Like to Give to You

The only liberty an inferior man really cherishes is the liberty to quit work, stretch out in the sun, and scratch himself.  ~H.L. Mencken

There is precious little hope to be got out of whatever keeps us industrious, but there is a chance for us whenever we cease work and become stargazers.  ~H.M. Tomlinson

The end of labor is to gain leisure.  ~Aristotle

It is labour indeed that puts the difference on everything.  ~John Locke, An Essay Concerning Human Understanding, 1690

If all the cars in the United States were placed end to end, it would probably be Labor Day Weekend.  ~Doug Larson

Labor Day is a glorious holiday because your child will be going back to school the next day.  It would have been called Independence Day, but that name was already taken.  ~Bill Dodds

    He’s at it again!!!

Police   Well, this is the second week in a row that I’ve had to call the police on Mike! He showed up at the house again this morning before I went to work. He usually calls when he’s sitting out there before I go out the door. I had a feeling he was out there, so I looked out the window and sure enough, there he was. So I called him and told him that he needed to leave. He just kept telling me that we were going to talk face to face, whether I wanted to or not. He thinks that I won’t go out there to talk to him because I’m afraid of my true feelings for him! He said that if I want to treat him like a dirtbag, he can act like one! I kept him on the phone while my sister called the police, because last time he was gone before they showed up. This time they cornered him in. No matter what they said, he told them that he wasn’t doing anything wrong. About 5 minutes later, one of the officers came to the door and asked if he approached the house. He hadn’t because he knows the law, and was just waiting for me to step on the street where my car has to be parked. The officer told me that just in the first 5 minutes of talking to him, he could tell that nothing they said was sinking in. Mike was convinced that he was doing nothing wrong. They kept him busy while I drove off to work. He later called after the officers left and said, “you had to call the police, huh! See ya!” I’m sure he figured out that my sister called, since I was already on the phone with him!
